Windows 10 Version 21H1- Features and Availability

Windows 10 Version 21H1 is the confirmed Windows 10 spring 2021 update from Microsoft. It follows the usual pattern of rolling out two big updates of Windows 10 every year and its following October 2020 update.  

We can actually hope for a few useful features coming this spring which appears to be likely that Microsoft is using this update cycle for larger Windows 10 UI update preparation which will be part of Microsoft’s Windows 10 renewed focus. Until the larger update is confirmed, we won’t know exactly what that means, though you can go with some rumors collected here.

What is Windows 10 version 21H1?

Windows 10 version 21H1 is going to be OS’s latest update from Microsoft, showing up sometime this spring. These are the April or May updates that often arrive every year. It’s Windows 10 spring 2021 update. Version 21H1 seems to be a minor instead of an overhaul. Microsoft usually launches a major feature update in the spring and a little one in the fall.

When to download the new version 21H1update?

Microsoft said the update would be available to download in the first half of the year. According to a Windows Central report, Windows 10 version 21H1 will arrive in May, however the confirmation from Microsoft is still not here.

Microsoft started rolling out a 21H1 build on 10th march in the Beta program. Upcoming features will be offered provided in future Windows Insider Preview builds.

The update will be available in H1 and deliver via Microsoft’s servicing technology. If your device has already either version 20H2 or Windows 10 version 2004, the installation will be the fast process for getting the newest update.

After update releases, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update> Check for Updates. If you can see the version 21H1 updateclick Download and install

What new features will be included?

According to Microsoft’s blog post, its new Windows 10 features will include these updates.

  • Windows Hello will get multicamera support. So, if you are using high-end displays with integrated cameras, you can select an external camera.
  • Group Policy Service updating and Windows Management Instrumentation improvements to support remote work.
  • Enhancements to Windows Defender Application Guard with streamlining document opening situation times.

According to a report from Digital Trends, the upcoming update will additionally include updated settings pages, new icons, and some tweaks to Cortana as well as the search box experience.

Microsoft said that its dual-screen devices’ Windows 10X OS is expected to come to single-screen devices first.
